This was great. It is nice, easy, comfortable, and very affordable! At Val Thorens there even is ski-on ski-off!
Had a fantastic time at UCPA, guide Philippe was very much at home in the mountains and found great snow. The Vallee Blanche but also the Italian days were awesome. Would recommend. The UCPA facilities are basic but the outdoor activities definitely make up for it. Would go again!
Introductie ski touring en off piste was een geweldige ervaring met goede instructie en afwisselend dagprogramma. Prachtige natuur in dit bergmassief. Goede skivaardigheid en conditie is wel vereist. UCPA argentiere heeft een goede locatie, materiaal en verzorging goed. Slapen op een 4 persoons bunk room was wel even wennen, leuke mensen ontmoet met een sportieve spirit.
Geweldige vakantie gehad bij UCPA. Alles was goed geregeld, het eten was lekker en veel nieuwe vrienden gemaakt. Het skigebied is ook prachtig en de fulltime ski lessen zijn perfect als je nog niet goed kan skiën. De slaapkamers en bedjes waren niet schoon, maar dat komt doordat de schoonmaak door gasten zelf gedaan moet worden. Zo kunnen de kosten voor de vakantie laag blijven. Ondanks dat het niet schoon was in de accommodatie heb ik het echt geweldig leuk gehad en ik kan het iedere beginner aanraden.
Deze UCPA is een heel fijn en modern centrum, lekker eten, veel comfort, mooi skigebied en leuke instructeurs! Een aanrader!
Had a super fun 7 days of skiing, and made some nice friends along the way as well! I especially appreciated the fun events conducted on the UCPA premises in the evenings

Had expected (was afraid) that the descents would really remain at beginners level and steeper parts or more technical descents would be avoided, but that was not the case at all. Our English-speaking guide (FX) knew very well how to estimate the level of the group and did "exploration" (beginners) and "all-mountain" (advanced) descents with the group. We saw/did "everything", couloirs, tree runs, steep, flatter parts, hiking bits to one of the best descents of the trip. FX (our guide) is a great guy with an eye for everyone in the group. He made sure that the difference in level did not cause any problems and knew how to coach everyone in the right way to learn/improve. You could ask anything and he also wanted to know what you personally would like to learn or what kind of descent you want to make, then he would do that. He can come up with surprising exercises, no spoilers, find out yourself ;) The food is very well organized and the accommodation is great. The rest times were achieved nicely, no parties in the building until late at night. In short, even as a former freestyle boarder and a big all-round boardsports fanatic, this beginners trip was very successful.
